 Good news Shadowhunters! The poster for the show has just been released!!

 Since 2 o'clock, I've had to stare at this blurry picture and a percentage-calculator until #Shadowhuntersposter was trending and 50,000 tweets were reached. It was torture to the whole fanbase!!

  And here it is, Shadowhunters!!

The New "The Mortal Instruments" & "The Infernal Devices" Covers!

   How is everyone this week? I hope the answer is somewhere along the lines of, "Good."

 A new month has started and not just any month; it's September. Everyone should be starting back at Hogwarts by now, right? Well, I--like many--still haven't gotten my Hogwarts acceptance letter so I'm just sitting here at my computer like any ol' boring Muggle.

 But, I'm a boring Muggle that is here to share some news with you. I'm writing a blog post about my book-nerdiness today, instead of blogging about writing, mostly because I don't have time to sit down and write about writing when I should be editing. So let's get to it so I can get to work :)

 So a few new books got released today, but the only ones I cared about were the beauties in the photos below. I've been waiting months to get my hands on the new The Mortal Instruments and The Infernal Devices (by Cassandra Clare) covers, and they have finally arrived!

These are photos I took today as soon as I opened the box:

 Look at how gorgeous these covers are. Look! These covers are every author's dream. I love the covers so much that I don't even have a favorite! That's very unlike me. The art is amazing and the characters on the covers look how I imagined them, and every single person on The Mortal Instruments covers look bad-ass! I'm just loving these new and improved covers!

 I am just amazed. I didn't think this series could get any better, and then Cassandra Clare releases new covers for the series that are just breathtaking.

 Cassandra Clare (as well as many others) has been an inspiration to me for years. She crafted this amazing story that just sucks you in every time you sit down to read one of her books, and has lovable and funny characters to take you along for the ride. I can't wait to read more of her work!

Shadowhunter News: The Cast

Okay, I know I've been kinda behind on news revolving around the coming ABC Family show, Shadowhunters, so I thought I'd catch up today. I'll be posting the cast that we have so far, starting with our main characters.

Clary Fray will be played by Katherine McNamara 

She's so pretty and cute!! But she also needs to be sassy to keep up with Jace. She also needs to be tough. I hope she can pull all of this off, because I really think she looks the part.

Jace Herondale/Lightwood/Morgenstern/Wayland will be played by Dominic Sherwood

At first, I wasn't so sure about him playing Jace, but now that I've seen the pictures of him on set, I'm good with it. I just hope he can keep up and play this character well, because he's a sexy, snarky, and important character for this series. 

Simon Lewis will be played by Alberto Rosende

I can totally see Alberto as Simon. He has this sort of geeky look, but I can also see him as being really cute (which is totally Simon). I'm excited to see him on-screen! Even as a rat lol!

Isabelle Lightwood is going to be played by Emeraude Toubia

 She's so gorgeous!! Like OMG I CAN'T EVEN!! I can't wait to see her play this beautiful, feminist, and badass character.

Alec Lightwood is going to be played by Matthew Daddario

I'M READY FOR SOME MALEC!!!

Magnus Bane is played by Harry Shum Jr.

 DREAMY! He looks even better in-character (if you can believe it)!

Luke Garroway is being played by Isaiah Mustafa

I can already tell he's going to be an awesome werewolf!

Valentine Morgenstern is going to be played by Alan Van Sprang

He was a mad/evil king on Reign and he was really great!! He will be an amazing villain!

Raphael Santiago is played by David Castro

 Wow. All I have to say is wow.

Hodge Starkweather is being played by Jon Cor

 He is so HOT!! OMG! This is probably my favorite cast member so far. Can anyone guess why? LOL! I feel kind of guilty since he's kind of a bad guy but....

Camille Belcourt is being played by Kaitlyn Leeb

She's so gorgeous!! She looks so perfect...

Jocelyn Fray is being played by Maxim Roy

Maryse Lightwood is being played by Nicola Correia Damude

Well that's everyone so far!

OMG seriously can't wait for this show because of this awesome cast!! It seems like ABC Family is working really hard to make the cast perfect. Almost everyone looks how I pictured them while reading the books :)

Shadowhunter News: Camille Belcourt Casting

Great news, Shadowhunter fans!! Our favorite female vampire, Camille Belcourt, has been casted! Kaitlyn Leeb will be playing the role of our beloved vampire leader. 

She looks totally hot and so can pull off the classy blood-sucking vampire that we know and love.

 I don't know about you guys, but I'm getting more and more excited about this show every time I see a knew photo and when they cast a new character :)

Shadowhunter News: Raphael and Hodge Casting

 Two new cast members have been added to the "Shdadowhunters" TV Show!


   David Castro is going to be Raphael.

   Jon Cor has been casted as Hodge Starkweather.

I always pictured Hodge much older, but I'm happy such a hot guy is playing the bad guy ;)

Shadowhunter News: Shadowhunters Teaser

 Okay, so last night we were given two teasers for the upcoming ABC Family show, Shadowhunters....And they were pathetic!

I was super, super excited to watch the teasers! They said they were releasing 2, so I thought that they were actually going to show clips of the show! I was totally stoked!
But then I saw the teasers....And was unbelievably disappointed.

The first teaser was just the Shadowhunters title! That's all.

So, after watching the first one, I was like, "Okay, so that was a tease before the tease. They'll show something awesome next!"

Nope.
Second teaser was equally a bust.

If you've been keeping up with the show, looking at pictures and blog posts about it, then you know that they didn't show anything that we hadn't already seen. Again, super disappointed. I thought they were going to show something awesome, even if it lasted a second like the first teaser.

Later that night, I watched Christine's reaction to the teasers, and it made me laugh because Christine and her brother said everything that I and everybody else thought of the stupid, lame teasers that were released.

I laughed so hard while watching this last night lol. It made it somewhat better.
